Freedom Boat Club Jacksonville Receives Apparel Trademark for Boatanista Brand

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - July 2, 2018 - PRLog -- The definition of Boatanista is: boat•an•is•ta   [boat- uh -nee-st uh] noun - A very nautical-minded woman, especially one who works in the boat club industry. Someone who facilitates the boating lifestyle, and her motto would be: Inboard, Outboard, On Board, NEVER BORED.

Lisa "The Boatanista" Almeida coined the term and is now encouraging other women to embrace the Boatanista lifestyle. Do you have what it takes to be a Boatanista? Almeida, owner of Freedom Boat Club Jacksonville and a popular spokesperson in northeast Florida for the marine industry, has recently been awarded an apparel trademark for her Boatanista brand. Four years ago, she was awarded a trademark for her alter-ego, The Boatanista.

"The whole idea is to encourage woman boaters," Almeida said. "Of course, I am a lifelong boater and want to support this wonderful recreation for all people, but I am particularly passionate about giving women the confidence to take the helm.  And I wanted to design apparel to help women identify themselves as Boatanistas."
