High School Football America Releases 2018 Preseason 100

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - July 22, 2018 - PRLog -- High School Football America ("HSFA") is proud to announce the release of its Preseason 100 high school football national rankings. The Preseason 100 is created with High School Football America's proprietary algorithm that was created by HSFA Founder/Editor-in-Chief Jeff Fisher.

Defending "mythical" national champ Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California) is our preseason No. 1 team, followed by Allen (Allen, Texas) at No. 2, Grayson (Loganville, Georgia) at No. 3, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, California) at No. 4 and IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida) at No. 5.

"We're very proud to honor all of the teams that begin 2018 in our Top 100," said Fisher, who developed his ranking algorithm in 2013. "It's the hardest ranking to do, because the algorithm itself is designed to evaluate on-field performance. While it's tough to evaluate teams without games, we know our algorithm is very accurate. In 2017, sixty-two of the teams in our Preseason 100 finished in our final Top 100 ranking in December."

This year's HSFA Preseason Top 100 features teams from 25 states, plus the District of Columbia. Texas leads the way with fourteen teams in the Top 100, followed by Florida with 12, California with 10 and Georgia with 9.

In addition to the Preseason 100, High School Football America has produced an On the Bubble ranking from No. 101 through No. 125, plus an Honorable Mention category that includes 100 teams, which means that they are ranked from No. 126 through No. 225.

High School Football America's first in-season Top 100 will be released on Sunday, August 19, 2018 and then every Sunday after that. Our "mythical" national champ will be crowned on Sunday, December 23, 2018.
