High School Football America 2019 Preseason 100 to be released June 28

ATLANTA - June 27, 2019 - PRLog -- High School Football America ("HSFA") will announce its 2019 Preseason 100 national rankings on Friday, June 28, 2019. The national rankings are created with HSFA's proprietary algorithm.  This is the seventh straight year that High School Football America is using its algorithm that uses 15 criteria to rank teams across the United States.

Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California) enters 2019 as our two-time defending national champ. The Monarchs began 2018 as the No. 1 team in our preseason rankings.

"We're very proud of the national rankings," said Jeff Fisher, High School Football America co-founder.  "Obviously, there's no perfect way to determine the best teams in the nation, but we believe that our algorithm evaluates factors that gives fans an accurate depiction of the 'mythical' national championship chase.  Opinion rankings are great, but we believe our algorithm is the future of national rankings."

Last year, 59 teams that began the year in the Top 100, ended the season there. In 2017, 62 of the teams that started the season in the HSFA 100 finished in the final Top 100.

In addition to the Top 100, we also release our On the Bubble teams (No. 101 through No. 125) and our Honorable Mention teams (from No. 126 through No. 250).

High School Football America ("HSFA") is a digital media company founded by award-winning journalists Jeff Fisher and Trish Hoffman that is celebrating its 15^th season in 2019. In 2018, Skyhorse Publishing released Fisher's highly-acclaimed book High School Football in Texas — Amazing Stories from the Greatest Players of Texas. Jeff interviewed players Earl Campbell, Eric Dickerson, "Mean Joe" Greene, LaDainian Tomlinson and many others about their high school football memories. Currently, Fisher is working on his second book that will highlight the great high school football players from Pennsylvania.
