Shadows Remain New Band Joins Forces with Rock Solid Talent Entertainment

LONDON - July 30, 2018 - PRLog -- Shadows Remain is a 5 piece alternative metal/hard rock band based in Northeastern Oklahoma.  The band formed in the fall of 2017.  Shadows Remain's sound infuses a collaboration of energy that can channel the listeners' emotions and thus speak in a language that only the human spirit can understand.  Their music has the ability to play as the remedy to the will of whatever the muse desires from it.  The antidote for such lays within the powerful vocals and lyrics that command your attention yet simultaneously welcome you in with open arms. Combining that with guitars that transfer from a melodic state of hypnosis to frantically hard driven riffs at the precise moment needed in each song. All that backed up with percussions that tie it all in together to serve a medication whose description is unfathomable.  They have recently released their first single entitled "Lies."  At the moment the band is working on their debut album.

Jason Hill (vocals)
   Jason was born and raised in a Sallisaw, Oklahoma.  Music and entertaining have always been apart of his life.  He gained an affection for music at an early age through his grandfather who was also a musician.  Singing and playing instruments has always been something that had a large role in his home growing up.  Jason started his first band 12 Fluid Ounces, at the young age of 13.  Just a few years later he played his first show when he was just 16 years old.  He has always held a passion to write, sing and play music.  Jason also formed other projects including Severed Ties, Selfless Image and most notable, a christian hard rock/metal band named Altered 5:17.  In the spring of 2015, they (Altered 5:17) disbanded.  The following year Jason got together with Dustin Simms for a new project. The two immersed themeselves in the act of writing in the fall of 2017.  They later discovered and welcomed guitar player Cody Peebles and bassist Stephen Lee Gram to the mix and thus forming Shadows Remain.

Cody Peebles (lead Guitar)
   Cody is from the small town of Porum, Oklahoma.  He Began playing guitar at the early age of 15.  His early influences are Metallica, Megadeth, and Ozzy Osbourne.  Currently, Cody listens to Parkway Drive, Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium and Bullet for my Valentine.  Throughout the years Cody has played in several bands.  Before joining Shadows Remain he was a guitarist for Reliance Code.  He has opened for a robust amount of mainstream artists, including Hellyeah, Texas hippie coalition, Drowning pool, and Gemini syndrome. In 2017 Cody played the Axis stage at Rocklahoma and the Blue ridge rock festival.  He has taken guitar lessons from Glen Drover (formerly of Megadeth and Testament).  Cody now plays the role of the lead guitarist for Shadows Remain. His frequently used gear includes a 7 string Jackson with Symore Duncan Blackout Pickups, a 6 string LTD and Epiphone EMG's with 81,85 pickups.  He uses Dean Markley and Ernie ball strings.  Cody equips them all with EVH 5150 and Mesa Boogie amplifiers.

Stephan Graham (Bass Guitar)
   Stephan, also known as Hurlee, grew up in the river valley area of Fort Smith.  He has had a long history of influences and coaching in music.  During his school years, Stephan had taken piano lessons in the 4th grade, bass lessons in the 6th grade and played in his schools' band all throughout his time there. Music is something that flows through his families blood.  He gained his love for bass through his stepfather who also played bass and trumpet as well.  Formerly he served as the bass player of Vague Vendetta.  Stephan has opened up for Texas Hippie Coalition. He is presently playing bass in Shadows Remain.  His music taste includes a wide variety of genres such as hard rock, metal, jazz, blues and rap/hip-hop. His commonly used gear is a 5 string Ibanez sr305 with Soap bar active pickups.

Dustin Simms (Rhythm Guitar/ Backing Vocals)
   Dustin was raised in the small town of Mansfield, Arkansas.  At an early age his mother provided him with the guidence to grow into the musician he is today.  He began learning to play the guitar when he was 15 years old.  Dustin's first opertunity to share the stage as an opening act was for the band It LivesIt Breaths.  After many years of dedicated practicing and forming countless bands, he found his home in Shadows Remain.  He currently listens to Bullet For My Valentine.  His preferred gear is a Schecter Demon 7 played through a 6505+ head with Crate 4/12 cab. Dustin uses Duncan Blackout pickups.  His strings of choice are Earnie Ball and Dean Markleys.

Carson Gene Hill  (Drums)
   Carson is from Sallisaw, Oklahoma.  He began playing drums at the age of 6.  Carson often enjoys listening to Upon A Burning Body, Throw Down and Pop Evil.  His main inspritations are the works of the late Vinnie Paul (Black Sabbath), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) and The Rev (AVENGED SEVENFOLD).  Carson plays on a pearl kit with Sabian cymbals.  He prefers to use Vic Firth drumsticks.
