Ferrari revs into the Gold Coast

GOLD COAST, Australia - Aug. 8, 2018 - PRLog -- Boasting the largest concentration of Ferraris in Australia, the Gold Coast will soon welcome a $10 million standalone Ferrari dealership in partnership with Frizelle Sunshine Automotive.

While work is well underway on the Gold Coast's first exclusive Ferrari showroom and high-tech service centre, set to open in October 2018, a temporary Ferrari showroom space will open this week to meet the insatiable demand for Ferrari on the Gold Coast.

Ferrari Australasia CEO Herbert Appleroth said the launch of an exclusive Gold Coast dealership was thanks to the record number of sales in the region over the past few years.

"The all-new Ferrari Gold Coast showroom is integral to our growing dealer network in Australia and globally," Mr Appleroth said.

"Queensland is Ferrari's strongest new car and pre-owned market with continued strong sales growth and a seemingly insatiable demand. It's important to find a partner that understands the local market and can perform to the inimitable Ferrari standard. We are very excited to welcome Frizelle Sunshine Automotive to our network."

Australia has a longstanding history with Ferrari and its position as a market of global significance has continued to develop in recent years. Since the Ferrari Australasia office was first established here in 2014, the business has seen unprecedented growth and consecutive years of record sales.

Queensland continues to lead the way in terms of Ferrari client orders per capita of population in Australia, with Ferrari ownership within Gold Coast postcodes among the highest in the nation.

On a per capita basis, the Gold Coast is one of the strongest markets in the world for Ferrari and, last year, national sales for the high-performance marque grew by 23 per cent marking the fourth consecutive record sales year for Ferrari in Australia.

The Italian inspired Ferrari Gold Coast showroom and service centre will spans across 1,937m2 with much of the interior imported from Italy, featuring luxurious imported Italian-made furnishings.  While construction continues at the new Southport showroom, Frizelle Sunshine will open an interim sales centre at Sanctuary Cove.

"The multi-million-dollar investment and commitment by Ferrari Australasia and Frizelle Sunshine Automotive Group will result in a new world class automotive facility at the Gold Coast and create 11 new jobs for locals," said dealer principal Rebecca Frizelle.

"Sanctuary Cove is home to one of the largest concentration of Ferraris in Queensland. It seemed fitting to launch Ferrari in its heartland."

The Ferrari Gold Coast temporary sales centre is now open at Shop 7H, Masthead Road, Sanctuary Cove. The permanent dealership will be located at 76-78 High Street, Southport.
