Summer Hill Films announces the North American DVD and VOD release of the detective noir comedy, Gumshoe!

PHOENIX - Aug. 20, 2018 - PRLog -- The film tells the story of Biff Basham, hopeless private eye, who is hired by a seductive nightclub singer to pay off a blackmailer in this crazy comedy. He thinks his money worries are over, but when his client's husband is murdered, he is plunged into a dangerous world of organized crime and espionage in the seedy underbelly of New Orleans. With enemies on all sides and totally out of his depth, he must work out who he can trust and unmask the killer before he becomes the next victim.

The film stars Arnie Pantoja, as Biff Basham. Arnie is known for 'Sydney White' (2007), 'Red Shirts' (2013), and 'Hamlet 2' (2008). The film also stars, Rachele Brooke Smith. An inspiring role model, Rachele has quickly made a name for herself in Hollywood. She has starred in a variety of films, television, and national ad campaigns. She is known for roles on Fox's 'Scream Queens' and the upcoming horror film, 'The Last Exorcist'.

The film is written and directed by Michael Webb. Michael's film-making career got off to a flying start when his first short film, `The Busker and the Monk', made while at law school, won the Best Drama award at the British National Awards for Student Television Associations. He has also worked in television, on ITV's crime drama `Vera' (2011-) starring Brenda Blethyn.

'Gumshoe!' is now available in North America on VOD from Amazon Video, Google Play Movies, and Xbox movies with the North American DVD coming by year's end. It will also be available on Amazon UK and internationally licensed through Summer Hill Entertainment which attends all the major film sales markets including EFM, Marché du Film, AFM and Hong Kong Filmart!
