By: Troop Public Relations Wells Fargo, a leader in banking, investments, and consumer and commercial finance, presented a generous grant to the MBCC during a ceremony at the U.S. Black Chamber School of Chamber and Business Management Conference. This year's annual conference was held in late July at the National Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, MD. "We are excited about Wells Fargo's investment in our Chamber and hope to continue to partner with more organizations who see value in bringing access to capital, procurement opportunities, and technical assistance to Black-owned businesses," "The grant will support activities specifically for the Procurement Affinity Group and its marketing," said Jones-McLeod. The MBCC Procurement Affinity Group is focused on developing a deeper understanding of procurement on a federal, state and local levels. "As the voice of Black business owners, it is our mission to support and advocate for our nation's Black-owned businesses and Black chambers of commerce," said Ron Busby, President of US Black Chambers, Inc. About the MBCC As the voice of Black business throughout Maryland and the region, the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce educates, connects, and advocates for Black businesses. We offer strategic support for starting, sustaining and growing successful Black businesses. We do this by offering networking opportunities, affinity groups, resources and partnerships with organizations, which provide training, workshops, coaching and funding assistance. We are a member of The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC) that provides committed, visionary leadership and advocacy in the realization of economic empowerment.
