The website was hacked in July 2015 by a group who called themselves "The Impact Team". The Impact Team stole the profile of their customer along with other personal details and later the hacked data online because as per the hackers Ashley Madison did not fulfil their demand of shutting the website. According to those hackers, they hacked Ashley Madison website because they condemn their mission of arranging affairs between married individuals and deprecate their business practices, especially users paying USD19 for the privilege of deleting all their data from their website.
