Carey V. Azzara Launched Novel Kaitlin's Mooring With Unforgettable Party

Azzara held for his newis novel, Kaitlin's Mooring, on Saturday, August 25, from 1:00 – 3:00PM at New England Mobile Book Fair in Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts. The popular author read from and signed copies of his book as attendees enjoyed pizza from Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, giveaways, and live music.

The story begins as college student Kaitlin Deveau leaves Boston University in a hurry when Henry, her grandfather, calls from Maine with devastating news. Bereft of hope, Kaitlin's son, Christopher, becomes a life preserver, keeping the family buoyant. Henry, now Chris's only male role model, teaches him lessons he uses throughout life. In the end, Chris and his adopted sister, Susan, must save their parents from the fate that took his grandparents—but the outcome is uncertain.

Vividly told against a beautiful New England landscape, this engrossing story deftly blends grief with joy, and loss with hope to make Kaitlin's Mooring impossible to put down.

Azzara, a Boston resident, is the author of three collections of short stories – Uncommon Heroes and Cars; a collection of novellas – Halley's Gift and Eight Other Extraordinary Tales; plus Heroes, Dogs, and Cars. His short stories have been published in several anthologies, and he authored Questionnaire Design for Business Research - a technical book on marketing research practices.
