BRISTOL, U.K. - Sept. 11, 2018 - PRLog -- CFMS announces Ninth Annual Airbus DiPaRT - Shaping the Future of Flight

Bristol, 11th September 2018
- The Centre for Modelling & Simulation (CFMS) will be hosting the ninth Airbus Flight Physics Distributed Research & Technology Partnership (DiPaRT) event at Bristol and Bath Science Park.

Led by Airbus, and the UK Flight Physics community, this popular annual event will see in excess of 130 delegates gather together between 26th and 28th November 2018 to present on the theme 'Shaping the Future of Flight'.

This years event highlights Airbus' interest in learning about cross-sector innovation, where the Symposium is open to UK corporate, SME, academic and research organisations across aerospace, defence, automotive, energy and utilities. A mechanism for engaging and collaborating, the DiPaRT network of organisations and partners identify potential technologies and research aligned with Airbus R&T strategy.  Topics and themes for this year's event have been announced, along with the Call for Presentations.

Victoria Cole, Head of Flight Physics Capability UK, and Lee-Ann Ramcherita, Flight Physics Innovation and Technology Watch Manager, leading the event, commented "DiPaRT provides the opportunity to engage directly with organisations focused on flight physics and advanced engineering, and to discuss research and technology advances that will shape the aircraft of the future".

DiPaRT is an annual event that has been hosted by CFMS since 2013. Sam Paice, Chief Operating Officer, CFMS, "The everpresent digital-and-data-driven environment is increasing the value, visibility and benefits of collaboration, facilitating greater sharing of information between communities. We are delighted to host DiPaRT 2018, working with Airbus to manage and host the event."

The Call for Presentations is now open and will close on 7th October 2018. Presentation abstracts can be submitted at www.cfms.org.uk/airbus-dipart-2018/dipart-symposium-presentation-submission/. Registrations for the DiPaRT event will commence in October 2018 through the DiPaRT portal hosted on the CFMS website.

About DiPaRT

DiPaRT has been created by Airbus as a mechanism for communicating with, engaging and orchestrating the UK Flight Physics R&T community. The aim is to foster a coherent, well informed and motivated partnership that can help Airbus effectively deliver its strategic vision for a UK capability, supporting design and integration of wings, landing gear and associated systems. Following the establishment of the UK Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) this remit acquires a special significance.

About Airbus
Airbus is a global leader in aeronautics, space and related services. In 2017 it generated revenues of €59billion restated for IFRS 15 and employed a workforce of around 129,000. Airbus offers the most comprehensive range of passenger airlines from 100 to more than 600 seats. Airbus is also a European leader providing tanker, combat, transport and mission aircraft, as well as one of the world's leading space companies. About CFMS

The Centre for Modelling & Simulation (CFMS) is a not-for-profit specialist in digital engineering capability. As a trusted and neutral provider, our vision is to be the recognised, independent digital test bed for the design of high value engineering products and processes.

Facilitating a greater understanding of how a product will perform throughout its lifecycle, our digital test bed forms the foundation for Through-life Engineering Services, creating a virtual replica of systems and processes used for investigation of options and opportunities, in advance of physical development.

CFMS provides the opportunity and unique combination of skills to collaborate and explore new complex products through their lifecycle. Through our core services, we are able to offer solutions that provide;

Integrated systems architectures that can deliver improved performance

• Greater insight into the performance of products or processes in service
• More informed decision making based on simulated or real-world data
• Cost effective access to state-of-the-art computational infrastructure
