By: Act Like You Matter, Inc. "Theatre of Peace and I have wanted to present at the IBPA Conference for many years, but the nature of our business – bullying prevention and intervention programs led by students from San Diego County – has made it difficult for us to participate until now," said Amy Jones Anichini, Executive Director and Author of Theatre of Peace and Founder and President of its parent company, Act Like You Matter. "We feel so fortunate that this year's theme, 'Putting the Pieces Together for Healthy Schools,' and San Diego location have aligned to make our program relevant and our participation possible. We're honored to have been invited to present." Eight members of the youth acting troupe Theatre of Peace will join Ms. Anichini in presenting a 75-minute student-led workshop, "Baffle Away Bullying! Interactive Stage Play: Learn Life Skills to Help You Build Resilience and Manage Encounters with Anyone Who Mistreats You," at 8am on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018. The workshop includes ample time for Q&A, where attendees are encouraged to ask Theatre of Peace and Ms. Anichini anything related to their work and advocacy, such as how they develop their scripts, the role of research in their content, lessons learned, and whether the actors have had personal experience with bullying and how that factors into their programs.
