Cost for the pre-conference Conversations with the She Suite Networking Event on October 11 is $5 for students; $15 for professionals. The cost for the full day conference on October 12 is $10 for students, $25 for professionals. About this Event The IWC aims to bring together women in the Triangle area – from graduate students to entrepreneurs and corporate executives – to encourage discussion and hands-on learning in all areas of business. This is the fifth annual IWC led by members of the Jenkins MBA Women's Club in the NC State Poole College of Management Jenkins MBA program. As the challenges women face in business continue to grow, it's important that women continue to inspire each other to achieve their goals, be good influences and impact change in and outside of their organizations, the event organizers said. The panelists and conference speakers include executives, entrepreneurs and managers with leadership roles in accounting, banking, digital media, government, law, leadership management, non-profits, supply chain and logistics, technology. The conference begins with a networking event – "Conversations with the She Suite" – on Thursday evening, October 11, at 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at the Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center at NC State, 2450 Alumni Drive, Raleigh, 27606. This event features a dynamic panel of women in the C-Suite of their organizations. Beverages and appetizers will be provided. On Friday, October 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the conference presents a full day of workshops, a luncheon keynote address, and panel discussions, held at the McKimmon Conference Center at NC State University, 1101 Gorman Street, Raleigh, 27606. Keynote Luncheon Speaker Lauren Hood, diversity and inclusion executive with Bank of America, will present the luncheon keynote address on Friday, Oct. 12, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., focusing how women support each other in being successful in their careers and personal lives, and what sometimes gets in the way of that. At Bank of America, Hood manages the processes and functions for BOA's Global Diversity and Inclusion organization, leading global strategies, programs and initiatives that actively support Bank of America's diverse and inclusive workplace. She also manages the Investing in Women Leadership Council, comprised of senior executives across the company who act as advisors and champions efforts to advance women's success. The Council also provides strategic oversight to the bank's enterprise and line of business women's networks, which engage over 30,000 employees around the globe.
