NEW YORK - Oct. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- The Natasha Hastings Foundation hosted its inaugural Tea Time Gala in an effort to fund female, high school track and field athletes an all-expense paid trip to The 2019 New Balance Nationals Outdoor, already scheduled for June 14-16, 2019, at Aggie Stadium in Greensboro, N.C.

Emcees Lyndsay Christian and Raval Davis provided an immersive mix and mingle experience where guests roamed intimately, yet freely throughout the buzzing lounge. DJ Shorty Love entertained the crowd with an array of upbeat tunes from the DJ booth, while Nikkia McClain and Papi Wines provided the night's signature refreshments. As light bites were passed around as courtesy of The Time Hotel, guests enjoyed silent auction items consisting of packaged trips to Italy, Mexico, and Jamaica, signed NFL gear, a pearl necklace by designer Diana Bandoh, NY Mets and NY Yankee tickets, a professional painting by Abi Salami and more.

Supporters such as USA Track and Field CEO Max Siegel and USA World Rugby Hall of Famer Phaidra Knight grabbed the guests' attention through powerful speeches leaving the room filled with warm hearts and a hopeful spirit. Each speaker and special guest announced a donation of over $1,000 kickstarting what would turn into a total of more than $20,000 raised, which exceeded the night's goal by far. The impactful evening didn't stop there. The Rockstar Twins and Mangbe Sulla captured the audience's attention by reciting original poems and words from Maya Angelou once again leaving the room exuding with positivity, power, and pride.

The fundraising gala was made possible thanks to the following sponsors: Under Armour, Coca-Cola, R.E.D.D, Fortis Lux Financial, USA Track and Field, Papi Wines, Passion Planner, 14+ Foundation and Curls. It is important to point out that these companies are not only supporters of Natasha Hastings, but of women and the next generation of leaders in general.
