Sacred Heart School students place in Yale Invitational Debate and Speech Tournament

KINGSTON, Mass. - Oct. 22, 2018 - PRLog -- Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school for students in preschool through grade 12, proudly announces that high school junior Kayla Turner and sophomore Evrosina Awad performed with distinction during the recent Yale Invitational Tournament, one of the largest collegiate sponsored high school speech tournaments in the country.

Turner, of Middleboro placed fourth in the Dramatic Interpretation category and fifth in Programmed Oratorical.  Awad, of Raynham finished a mere point away from quarterfinals in the Dramatic Interpretation category at the tournament, held on the New Haven campus of Yale University.

The tournament marked the first of the Sacred Heart academic year.  Members of the Sacred Heart debate and speech team will compete next at the upcoming 48th New York City Invitational Tournament at the Bronx High School of Science.
