By: United Premier Soccer League Based in Rochester (Minn.), Rochester Football Club will begin play in the UPSL Midwest Conference North Division, and will host its home games at 5,000-seat Rochester Memorial Stadium on the campus of Rochester Community and Technical College (851 30th Ave. SE, Rochester, MN 55904) in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards. United Premier Soccer League Midwest Conference Manager Cliff Conrad said, "Rochester FC is a great addition to the UPSL and the Midwest Conference. The Rochester FC front office is building their club the right way, and I look f forward to great things to come of Southeast Minnesota." Rochester Football Club's leadership in comprised of Rochester (Minn.) natives passionate about for soccer, community youth, diversity, inclusion and promoting local talent. Long-time friends Midhat 'Mido' Mujic and Muharem 'Moe' Dedic oversee the direction of the club. Rochester Football Club Co-Owner Muharem 'Moe' Dedic said, "We've been hearing a lot of good things about the UPSL, and it's a big deal to have a Pro Development team for the local players in town to have something to look forward to. Right now there are youth teams but not something competitive, so to have opportunity to play competitive soccer and the chance to play in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is an exciting thing for this community." Dedic and Todd Penz will coach Rochester FC. Kristin Zho will serve as General Manager. Adbul Noor will direct the youth development program. The club will host first team tryouts on Dec. 15 & 16 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. CT at Rochester Memorial Stadium, and soon will announce its game schedule. Rochester FC Elite Development Under-14 and Under-16 boys teams will be affiliated with Rochester FC and will focus on developing individual soccer skills, team play and good sportsmanship through mutual respect for the game and respect for teammates, coaches, referees and opponents.
