Follow on Google News | Yorkshire New Homes Director Swaps One Land For AnotherBy: Miller Homes Neil Reaney, 49, son of former Leeds United and England footballer Paul Reaney, from Harrogate, made the move from North Divisional Customer Services Director to Land Director within Miller Homes Yorkshire earlier this year to develop his career in the business. And, as he settles into his new role, he also discovered that he was selected to be part of a Miller team to visit Malawi next year for the Habitat for Humanity programme, the chosen charity of the national Miller Homes group. "This has been a fantastic few months for me and I now look forward to the next 6 months too; building our land portfolio across Yorkshire and supporting the people of Salima as we construct much needed homes for them," said Neil. "I have actively been involved in fundraising for them, but only on home turf, so to get the opportunity to visit and make a physical difference is a dream come true." Neil commenced his career in the housebuilding industry with a small independent Harrogate based company before rising through the ranks at Crest Nicholson and Barratt before joining the Miller team in 2006. During his time as Customer Service Manager Neil made a tangible difference, most notably raising customer satisfaction levels and driving a cultural change regarding customer satisfaction across the business. Appointed as North Division Customer Services Director in 2011 he has ensured that the North has achieved NHBC/HBF 5* accreditation across the board. "Neil has had a strong career with Miller Homes so far and was keen to extend his portfolio of skills with a move to the position of Land Director for the region," said Mark Leigh Managing Director Miller Homes Yorkshire. "His drive and determination will pay handsome dividends in both his future career and his visit to Africa – I am sure he will make a difference in both." Neil is currently fundraising for his visit to Malawi and donations can be made by visiting https://giving.habitatforhumanity.org.uk/ End
