NEW ORLEANS - Nov. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- The annual Turkey Bowl football game was held Thanksgiving Day in Hollygrove's Conrad Park located at 3400 Hamilton Street, New Orleans. It featured former star athletes, celebrities and a few newcomers, along with a coat/jacket drive and food drive. Donated coats and jackets will be distributed to those in need in the Greater New Orleans area. Food donations will be delivered to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Donations are being accepted through New Year's Day. Reem, the founder of 0017th and a former St. Augustine High School football standout and musician, along with many other positive figures in the community come together to sponsor various charity events throughout the year. From Easter giveaways, to feeding the homeless, to providing children with necessary educational items at their annual Back to School Giveaway, to the Turkey Bowl and other annual giveaways, 0017th constantly strives to be an integral part of giving back to the Greater New Orleans area. Each year, 0017th undertakes additional charity campaigns, with growing success year after year.

Sponsors for the 2018 0017th Turkey Bowl included powerhouse Jet Life, as well as legendary musical acts including JT the Bigga Figga, Skip of UTP and others, along with MIKODreamz PR, 504Diffusion, Genie Marketing Services, Phase III Body Shop, Organize Thinkers, Chicken & Watermelon, The Heat Magazine, and Mindless Dope.  0017th realizes the importance of assisting those who are less fortunate and given the time of year the Turkey Bowl is held, they decided to incorporate a coat and jacket drive. When asked about the success of this year's Turkey Bowl, Reem said, "This was an event that involved every influential person and entity within Hollygrove and surrounding areas, and included all denominations and religions, including Baptist churches and Muslims. They all participated in donating items and with actually coming out and physically helping us with the event. The football game was awesome – it was old versus new. The younger guys won two games in a row. We had fun!"
