Follow on Google News | Sacred Heart High School senior Madeline King Commits to Swim and Study at Boston CollegeBy: Sacred Heart High School King, who has been designated as one of the best swimmers in the history of the Cape Cod Swim Club holds many CCSC age group and open records including the 200 yd freestyle at 1:50.09 and the 200 Individual Medley at 2:04.36. Last year she won the high point trophy for scoring the most points of any swimmer in the 15-18 age group in New England at the New England Age Group Championships. She is also qualified to swim in USA Jr. Nationals and Futures Meets, two of the highest level meets in the United States just under US National Championships and Olympic Trials. Dr. Michael Gill, Principal of Sacred Heart School and Ron ZuWallack Head Coach of the Cape Cod Swim Club were on hand at King's "Official Signing Day" where she committed to training and leading a disciplined life. "We are very proud of Maddie's academic and athletic accomplishments but even more so for the character that she has demonstrated while a student at Sacred Heart," said Dr. Gill, noting that King has successfully balanced both her demanding and rigorous academic and swim training schedules.
