Famed Aardvark Jazz Orchestra: 46th Annual Christmas Concert, Jazz Carols and Music by Mark Harvey

BOSTON - Dec. 2, 2018 - PRLog -- The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra has been called "stunningly beautiful" (New York City Jazz Record), "spellbinding" (The Boston Globe) and "one of the best jazz ensembles in the world" (Jazz Podium, Germany).  The illustrious orchestra celebrates its 46th Annual Christmas Concert on December 8 at 7:30 pm at Boston's Emmanuel Church, with favorite jazz carols and joyful music by Aardvark founder and director Mark Harvey. Aardvark's exuberant holiday event, December 8 at Emmanuel Church Boston, will feature the premiere of Mark Harvey's latest work Healers of the Universe, a tribute to the legendary social activist Kip Tiernan, founder of Rosie's Place in Boston and a tireless advocate for those in need.

The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra gave its first concert December 23, 1973 at the Church of the Covenant in Boston as a benefit for the Chelsea Fire Fund.  Every year since then, the band has held a Christmas concert to support a deserving cause.   Esteemed guests who have joined the Aardvark Christmas concerts include Sheila Jordan, Howard McGhee, Semenya McCord, Joe Carroll, Ron Gill, Jack Powers, and others.
