Hertford MD wins national award for "Best Business Person"

HERTFORD, U.K. - Dec. 14, 2018 - PRLog -- Like all the other finalists, she is exceptional in terms of strategy, management and business acumen. However, the judges said that what made Justine stand out was her "drive and determination despite adversity".

Justine was obviously thrilled to receive her award: "I was honestly not expecting to be judged the best business person in the UK - I was up against 10 amazing regional winners, so was flabbergasted as well as thrilled when I heard my name. Running my own business has been extraordinarily challenging and in the early years I faced more than my fair share of both business and personal hurdles that could easily have derailed me. But I chose to maintain a positive attitude and to keep going regardless, making me realise that I'm capable of almost anything. Having a successful business and a brilliant team have been their own rewards, but winning the SME National Business Award has been the icing on the cake."

An award-winning year

Cariad has had an incredible year, and the SME National Award is the fifth one the company has won in 2018: at the beginning of the year, the company was crowned Digital Business of the Year, at the FSB East of England Small Business of the Year Awards; it then went on to win Best Marketing Services Provider at the biz4Biz Awards; in the summer Justine won Business Person of the Year, and Rory Welch won Apprentice of the Year at the SME Hertfordshire Business Awards.

The success in 2018 will stand the company in good stead for its 10th anniversary celebrations in February 2019.
