By: DHPR Alan recently joined the ABO (American Boxing Organization) Alan began his love for boxing at an early age. At a young age, he won many state and local titles and recorded over 100 plus fights. His professional career as a boxer was met with a series of challenges after a major car accident. However, he continues to maintain a relationship today in boxing as well as being the voice for many ex-professional or retired fighters. Alan has devoted numerous hours to bring to light the financial hardships and health-related issues former athletes are facing. "There is a tremendous lack of oversight in the professional ranks when it comes to retirement plans and health insurance, said Alan." He is currently in discussions with those who have a vested interest within the boxing community in hopes to bring positive changes to the sport. Alan leads a purpose driven life passionately spending numerous hours working with youth and encouraging sports activities that break down cultural barriers and helps youth to improve self-esteem.
