IRVINE, Calif. - Feb. 6, 2019 - PRLog -- Meggitt, a market leader in sensing and monitoring systems for extreme environments, has launched a newly designed Model 28959G portable vibration calibrator for field validation of vibration sensors.

Part of the Endevco product range, model number 28959G is a self-contained system which includes a built-in vibration exciter, signal generator, computer-controlled amplifier/servo mechanism, reference accelerometer, a USB interface, touch screen display, signal conditioners and all necessary connectors and mounting accessories. An automatic test mode feature allows the user to simply select a sensor from the internal database and the 28959G will complete a fully automated frequency sweep. The unit is powered by internal, rechargeable batteries for complete portability.

Key features:

• Interfaces with PE/PR/VC/IEPE sensors
• Built in sensor library
• Signal simulation
• Automatic test mode
• Touch screen display

Test amplitude is adjustable up to 20 g's over the frequency range of 7 Hz to 10 kHz. An internal reference accelerometer traceable to NIST serves as the comparison standard and sensitivity is supplied in English or metric engineering units. Internal memory stores over 10,000 test results.

Sensor types are selectable from the built-in sensor library while test results are presented in PDF format and saved to a USB storage device for printing.
