Follow on Google News | Digital Influencer Who Sparked Movement Pens Children's Book Introducing Positive Black CharactersBrandon Frame, Chief Visionary Officer of award-winning digital platform TheBlackManCan teams up with the children book creators to highlight a rite of passage for little Boys in "My First Tie"
My First Tie is a wonderful story of a young boy sharing his experience learning how to tie his very first tie. The authors give us an inside scoop into the mind of a young boy seeking to mature and learn new things. Who knew learning to tie a tie would teach us the importance of honesty and telling the truth. "We are also introducing a positive black male character to children's literature. Coach is a fixer, a teacher, a motivator, a mentor, and all-around great guy. My First Tie is the second book in a wonderful children's book series, The Adventures Of Coach And Little Dell." shares co-author, Tanae Denean Eskridge, who resides in Los Angeles. "My First Tie" punctuates a defining moment in a little boy's life where he looks to his male role models in his life, like his dad, to show him how to become a man. Unfortunately, many boys of color lack these rites of passage so Brandon has made this a staple in his national youth summits, "Building a Better Brother", where to-date, they have impacted over 7,500 young boys and have a mentoring network of over 250 mentors. As an advocate for pushing the narrative of positive stories surrounding boys and men of color which was the launchpad for his platform as at Morehouse College. Frame states, "My First Tie is another step in the direction of providing positive images and narratives of Black men and boys. This book also allows the opportunity to work with elementary school aged children and bring positive imagery and messages to them." As the Founder of The BlackManCan, an Award-Winning 501(c)(3) non-profit and TheBlackManCan Awards Brandon uses his positive intention in his work as Deputy Director of Social-Emotional Learning at NYC's The Urban Assembly and has been recognized by Steve Harvey, BET, The Boston Globe, Black Enterprise, The Grio, and HLN just to name a few. Brandon is currently featured Hennessy's WE ARE content series that punctuates and celebrates the achievements and contributions of individuals across entrepreneurship, the arts, community, and family. He's also a featured model in current G-Star Jeans campaign celebrating the Harlem Renaissance.
