Follow on Google News | Local Marketing Firm With A Global Effect"The goal is really quite simple," explains Long, "We find a cause that our team can rally behind, create an event that fuses fun and entertainment with competitiveness, something our associates are very much accustomed to, and the rest takes care of itself." With success in their 2017 launch of the Hands-In Initiative, True Vision has found its charitable stride with several rewarding events this past year, namely partnering with Families Forward of OC, a locally active foundation that strives to help stabilize the needs of less fortunate children and families in Orange County. In July, the True Vision team held a Back-to-School event in conjunction with Families Forward, bringing in backpacks and other school supplies for the coming school year. "I remember my first day of school as a kid," Holly Long shares, "And, having my own little ones now, being prepared and feeling prepared on your first day can have an impact on the entire year. It was important for us to help other kids feel prepared on their first day as well." And an impact they certainly had. With the beginning of the school year in hindsight, True Vision turned it's attention to the next opportunity to give back; football season. With an impressive turn out at their Hands-In for Breast Cancer football event in October of 2017, Holly Long and team really sought to ramp up excitement for the 2018 installment. "We went all out this time," says Dewayne Long, a life-long fan of the sport and former collegiate player at Colgate University. With the NFL's nod towards breast cancer awareness for the entire month of October, True Vision Enterprises followed suite, organizing a company-wide bar-b-que and charity event for Thursday Night Football, encouraging attendees to "Sport Your Pink" (the nationally recognized color for the fight against breast cancer) and held a silent auction and prizes for donation raffles. Closing out the year, the Longs and their team sought to capitalize their efforts with two final events running on a three year tradition to date. With their Thanksgiving Food Drive, partnering with Families Forward once again, the team has consistently been able to help provide holiday meals for hundreds of people who are less fortunate in the surrounding community. And through their yearly Toys-for-Tots drive held at the company's Annual Christmas Gala, True Vision associates and friends were once again able to impact hundreds of children, brightening the holiday season just a bit more. "We like to hang our hat on these last two drives every year," explains Holly, "because we've learned that the greatest feeling to have around the holiday season is that you've made a difference, that you put a smile on a child's face. Nothing in the world can replace that feeling."
