18th Boston Turkish Film and Music Festival's Concert Program Announced

BOSTON - March 18, 2019 - PRLog -- The 18^th edition of the Boston Turkish Film and Music Festival is set to run from March 21^st to April 28^th. After the film screenings at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston through April 7^th, the festival will continue with a special music program, co-presented with the Howard Thurman Center at Boston University.

On April 10^th  globetrotting musician Alper Tuzcu will perform with his ensemble in the concert entitled "Aurora". Tuzcu's sound is rooted in RnB & Jazz and informed by music from around the world and his latest album 'Aurora' (2018) hops east over to India take inspiration in undiscovered mystic sounds of the Middle-East and Turkey.

Acclaimed violinist Ceren Türkmenoğlu and pianist Chang Liu will be performing works from seven different lands, France, Estonia, Hungary, Russia, US, China and Turkey, presenting their unique colors through music in a concert titled "7 Lands 7 Colors" on April 25th at Boston University.

Festival will conclude on April 28th with pianist AyşeDeniz Gökçin's performance of Beethoven, rock covers and original compositions. A celebrated pianist, composer and arranger known for her inventive synthesizing of classical and rock music, she is a child prodigy who made her concerto debut at the age of nine. She has performed at prestigious venues worldwide and received widespread recognition after her Pink Floyd Classical Concept album went viral.

All concerts will take place at the Boston University GSU Auditorium.
