MMI Charlotte Joins Forces with Roc solid Foundation to "Play It Forward"

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - March 25, 2019 - PRLog -- Mitchell Martin's Charlotte office is joining forces with the Roc Solid Foundation to help build a playground for a child diagnosed with Cancer.

The opportunity came about as a way to honor one of our fallen colleagues, Chris Casey, who was a passionate supporter of the Roc Solid Foundation.  Chris introduced his coworkers to the organization and got everyone excited about participating in a "Play It forward" project.  These projects get people together to build playsets for kids fighting cancer to help them forget about their diagnosis and just enjoy being a kid.  Chris tragically lost his life before the project was complete, and the Charlotte team decided to continue and complete the project in his honor.

So, on the morning of March 28^th, MMI Charlotte staff will gather together and travel to a home in Lake Wylie SC where they will work to build a playset for a young boy named Ian.  Ian, only 4 years old, was diagnosed with Leukemia.  He and his parents will arrive home in the afternoon to see a brand new playground, a safe haven in his own yard where he can escape cancer and just have fun, even if only for a little while.
