Dr. David B. Sudderth earns certification in brain injury medicine

FORT MYERS, Fla. - March 25, 2019 - PRLog -- Fort Myers neurologist Dr. David B. Sudderth has been awarded subspecialty certification in brain injury medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Sudderth, who practices at Kagan, Jugan & Associates, is a board-certified neurologist with nearly 30 years of experience treating patients with back and neck injuries, nerve problems, migraines and brain injuries.

Brain injury medicine is a subspecialty requiring expertise in the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of individuals who have experienced brain injuries or trauma.

Sudderth is one of only four adult neurologists in Florida to have earned brain injury certification through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

The Institute of Functional Medicine recently certified Sudderth, who also is recognized as a diplomate by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties in two areas of medicine: Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry, and Headache Medicine.

A graduate of the University of Copenhagen Medical School in Denmark, Sudderth completed his residency in neurology at Emory University Hospital in Georgia. Sudderth also speaks Spanish, German and Danish, and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Institute of Functional Medicine and International Brain Injury Association. He is co-author of six books, including "Headache: The Cure" and "The Arthritis Cure."
