The 7th Annual Corey C. Griffin NHL Alumni Pro-Am Raises Funds for Traumatic Brain Injury

BOSTON - March 26, 2019 - PRLog -- The 7th Annual Corey C. Griffin NHL Alumni Pro-Am "Skate with the Pros" Tournament continues its fundraising for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) research for Boston Children's Hospital

Since launching our first event, the Corey C. Griffin NHL Alumni Pro-Am "Skate with the Pros" tournament has raised over 3 million dollars. Twenty NHL Alumni Hockey players, along with 200 fans "skate with the Pros" in support of the Boston Children's Hospital Pediatric Head Trauma Unit. The Boston Children's Hospital is one of the world's leading pediatric neuroscience centers for the research of Traumatic Brain Injury. Concussions, in particular, are one of the most common childhood injuries, and are widespread among athletes.

The event offers hockey fans and players the unique opportunity to watch and/or play hockey all weekend long with many favorite NHL Hockey Alumni. The weekend includes a Friday night draft party, auctions and drinks, Saturday lunch at the rink with the players, Saturday night "Casino Night" with the Alumni, and the grand finale is an Alumni game on Sunday. "Carb up" like the pros on pizza, wings and cold beverages while helping to raise awareness and funds for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) research.

Some of last year's Pro-Am NHL Alumni legends included Ray Bourque, Rick Middleton, Al Lafrate and Mike Krushelnyski, some of whom are scheduled to return this year. The 2019 NHL Alumni players include; Greg Adams, Dave Ellett, Andrew Alberts, Terry Yake, Wayne McBean, Mark Napier, Mike Mottau, Hal Gill, Tom Fergus, Dave Shaw, Bob Sweeney, Scott Young, Ken Linesman, Jason Zent and more.

This year's event will be amplified by a dynamic social media campaign across multiple platforms spearheaded by social media and content producer, Jay Block. The foundation recognizes the power of social media in bringing attention, awareness and support to their activities and is excited to be engaging specific expertise to do so. The more awareness this campaign brings, the more successful the event. Love, Likes, Shares, and of course donations are all necessary to support this important cause.
