Summer Hill Films announces the North American DVD and VOD release of the comedy, Derek Is Funny!

PHOENIX - April 3, 2019 - PRLog -- In the movie, Derek puts his job and personal relationships on the line to be the artist he must be. His stand-up bits in the subway are filmed by his audience and posted all over social media. In the subway, Derek is free to say what he wants and what he thinks people need to hear. He doesn't hold back on politics, race, or gender, and for his commentary he faces verbal and sometimes physical abuse. Neither stop him from always being authentic, funny, and thought-provoking. "Derek Is Funny" is a feature film about the struggling artist who won't sell out, even when the most sought after television deal is his for the taking.

The film stars the stand-up comedian and actor, Duke Williams who is known for 'The Wrong One' (2018), 'The Dirty Kind' (2018), and `Sober' (2017).

The film also stars, Adam-Rashad Glenn, known for the Netflix series 'Orange Is the New Black' (2018) and `Adam' (2017). Tatiana Watson is known for `Faceology' (2012) and will also be seen in `THE GYPSY IN MOUNT ODELL: A Horror Story'.

Written and directed by, Reid Arnstein. He started as a musician at a young age, then went on to work in studios from Florida to New York. He's transitioned his skills from the audio/music industry to the wonderful world of video. Content is everything in a millennial world of binging, and Reid creates everything from films, ad campaigns, web series, product demo, documentaries, TV... But most importantly, he tells stories.

'Derek Is Funny,' is now available in North America on DVD with VOD from Amazon, Google Play, and Microsoft/Xbox coming soon.
