By: United Premier Soccer League Based in Houston (Texas), LSA Pro plays in the UPSL Southeast Conference and hosts its UPSL home games at Matias Almeyda Training Center (4211 Clow Road, Houston, TX 77068) in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards. Almeyda FC welcomes Houston FC into Matias Almeyda Training Center on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Kickoff is set for 11:00 a.m. CT. Admission and parking are free. United Premier Soccer League National Director Matt Kahla said, "We're honored and pleased to have Matias Almeyda as a club owner in the UPSL as we welcome Almeyda Futbol Club to the Central Conference. Coach Almeyda is a living legend in the professional soccer ranks, and his Training Center is a jewel in the Houston soccer community. Mr. Almeyda's efforts to bring soccer to more people in Houston is working, and we wish Almeyda FC the best as it continues its inaugural season in the UPSL." Almeyda FC is the top tier of Houston (Texas)'s Matias Almeyda Training Academy, a U4-U18 academy operating for more than 200 boys and girls youth players. Famed professional Coach Matias Almeyda is Owner of the Training Center and the Academy that bears his name. He currently serves as Head Coach of San Jose Earthquakes (MLS) and is Co-Owner of Almeyda Futbol Club. Sebastian Salazar is President of Matias Almeyda Training Academy and Co-Owner of Almeyda FC. He currently oversees the construction of the the Training Center's 2,000-seat stadium. Almeyda Futbol Club Co-Owner and president Sebastian Salazar said, "We want to compete and we want to win. We're going to start with the local players because there are a lot of local players who are ready, and that's a credit to the local soccer scene. And we have the Training Academy now, too, so we'll be giving opportunity to players to move up. We think the UPSL is a really good opportunity for that." The Matias Almeyda Training Center is a 32-acre soccer-specific facility with three FIFA-regulation turf fields included in its setup. The club opened its inaugural UPSL Central Conference South Division campaign with a 1-0 victory ove Cedar Stars Rush on Saturday, March 30, 2019.
