Covered California Notice of Penalty Errors

BURTONSVILLE, Md. - April 8, 2019 - PRLog -- Today a reporting error was discovered by leading professional employer organization (PEO) INFINITI HR (http://infinitihr.com) which resulted in tens of thousands of incorrect notices of penalties going out to more than 60,000 employers.

If you have received a notice from Covered California stating you may owe a penalty because an employee has received state coverage, please forward such notice immediately to INFINITI HR at benefits@infinitihr.com.

The major internal reporting error resulted in thousands of notices going out to employers for employees that never worked for them. We have been informed by the state and the Federal Appeals Board to simply keep these on file and that no action is required at this time. Covered California is working on the issue, and we hope to have more information soon.
