AFEA Expands by Adding Chapter in Donelson, TN

Leader in Financial Education Continues to Expand Their Reach
 
DONELSON, Tenn. - April 10, 2019 - PRLog -- The American Financial Education Alliance (AFEA) is dedicated to providing financial education and increasing financial literacy within communities all over the country. Today, the Board of Directors has chosen to continue to do just that, by unanimously voting Kirk Meyer as the new Chapter President of AFEA's Donelson, TN, #4659 chapter.

Kirk has twenty years of experience in financial matters through his work with the federal government first as a bank examiner then in the area of contracts. He also has over five years of experience assisting individuals and families with a wide variety of financial matters from investing, budgeting, risk management up to comprehensive financial planning.

Kirk also has an extensive educational background with numerous advanced degrees that aid in his professional careers. He holds a Master of Science in Financial Planning from Bentley University in Waltham, MA and a MBA and Master of Science in Accounting from Strayer University in Washington, DC. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS.

Kirk holds a FINRA Series 65 License in addition to a State of Tennessee Health and Life Insurance License. In his financial planning practice, he is a Certified Financial Fiduciary ® (CFF) through the National Association of Certified Fiduciaries. Kirk is also actively pursuing the designation of Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) through AFCPE to enhance his ability to serve his ever-changing client base.

Kirk is the author of approximately a dozen books on a variety of topics related to personal finance. For this reason, Kirk has partnered with American Financial Education Alliance (AFEA) as a way to give back to his community through free educational workshops offered at local universities and libraries. AFEA is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Charitable organization whose goal is to assist in ending financial illiteracy in America. Kirk resides in Nashville, TN with his wife, enjoys traveling and believes someone should never stop learning during their lifetime.
