Follow on Google News | 9th Annual Rummage Sale in MedinaAntique items, quality furnishings, décor and more at affordable prices
By: Western Reserve Masonic Community The event offers an affordable option for college students or homeowners needing to furnish an apartment, home, or spare bedroom, stock a kitchen with some of the essentials, or create a 'starter set' of handy tools to keep under the sink or in the garage. Resident Martha Fousek oversees the annual event and gives every item a final once-over and clean/polish if necessary before tagging it with a price – anywhere from $1 to $75 – before the team of resident volunteers place it for sale. "There are so many good-as-new pieces of furniture, pretty area rugs, holiday décor, tea towels, and knick-knacks," Items are donated by residents and staff. Proceeds are used for community enhancements or donations to support new programs and services. Past purchases have included outdoor garden benches and flat-screen TVs for Monday night football viewing or afternoon movies; there was also a donation made to help build a new memory care neighborhood. Call (330) 538-8473 for more information or visit Facebook @WesternReserveMasonicCommunity. Visitors are also welcome to stop by the lobby to take a peek at the conceptual designs for The Palmary, Western Reserve Masonic Community's upcoming independent living expansion. http://OhioMasonicHome.org/ End
