Kyande: Tech Genius is the follow-up installment in a time traveling, chapter book series for children in grades 2-5. Dr. Flowers wrote, "Black boys deserve to be superheroes and to see themselves as geniuses in books. I am hoping this book will help alter the existing norm within children's books which include depictions of Black males as being helpless, sidekicks, lacking voice, and followers. Kyande is a brilliant leader with unlimited abilities. My hope is that Black boys who read this book will see themselves in a similar way."
