By: United Premier Soccer League Sanchez has already begun coaching the squad as L.A. Wolves FC continues the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) 2019 Spring Season. He replaces Felipe Bernal, who mutually parted ways with the club earlier this season. L.A. Wolves FC Head Coach Miguel Sanchez said, "I'm excited for this opportunity because there is a lot of potential in this team. I'm very confident we can do great things together. I've had the privilege to learn from some amazing coaches throughout my career, and now I get to share my experience with this team." L.A. Wolves FC President Yan Skwara said, "We are pleased to welcome Miguel Sanchez back into the fold, this time as the Head Coach of L.A. Wolves FC. Miguel was a great forward for many years for the Wolves and scored some very big goals for the club, so it's only fitting to see Miguel come back to wear the Wolves badge. Miguel will connect with our players as we're looking to make a run in the UPSL playoffs and aim toward qualifying for the 2020 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. We have the utmost confidence in Miguel to lead the charge as we are already seeing very positive results with how our players are responding to him in training. Sanchez, 30, played for L.A. Wolves FC from 2016-'18, and was a key contributor to the club's Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup runs and its UPSL 2017 Spring Season Championship. Sanchez previously served as a coach for L.A. Wolves Youth Academy from 2016-'17. Born in Morelia, Mexico, Sanchez Rincon played for Jaguares de Chiapas in Mexico before going on loan to Cruz Azul for a season in 2013. He played for Anaheim Bolts (PASL) and Ontario Fury (MASL) before moving to L.A. Wolves FC (UPSL) on a free transfer in 2016. He has played for California United FC 2 (UPSL) since 2018. Sanchez played varsity soccer at Inglewood (Calf.) High School (2003-'06), and twice earned all-league honors. He placed second in Univision Sueno MLS 2006, and was a finalist at Alianza Southern California the same year.
