The ACE Master of the American College of Endocrinology (MACE) is presented to an AACE member who has received Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE) distinction and is recognized as a distinguished endocrinologist; Dr. Trence is the former Director of Endocrine Days Educational Institute, which provides continuing medical education to endocrinologists in community and academic practice in the Pacific Northwest. She is editor of Empower Magazine, AACE's informational magazine relating to hormonal and metabolic issues targeted to the non-medical population. Dr. Trence has also published in a number of endocrine journals, including Endocrine Practice, JCEM, Diabetes Care and Diabetes Educator. She received AACE's Outstanding Clinical Endocrinologist Award in 2014.
