Follow on Google News | Full house "OPM Overload" concert leaves audiences with a night to rememberConcert headliners Ogie Alcasid, Piolo Pascual, and Morissette Amon gave all-out performances and memorable moments that the crowd will always treasure
The one-night-only sold-out concert was headlined by three of Philippine's world-class performers: singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, Philippine's Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual, and Asia's Phoenix Morissette Amon. Peek on the highlights of "OPM Overload" below. Overwhelming Welcome A full house is what welcomed Ogie Alcasid, Piolo Pascual, and Morissette Amon at the "OPM Overload" concert. A combination of Filipinos and non-Filipinos filled the 3,000 capacity of the venue who were singing, dancing, and laughing with the Kapamilya stars the whole night. Phenomenal Performances Everyone was left in awe with the outstanding and world-class performances from Ogie, Piolo, and Morissette. Everyone was just mesmerized watching Morissette hitting all those high notes when she performed songs like "Rockabye" by international artist Clean Bandit, "Pangarap Ko ang Ibigin Ka" by Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, and her original hit "Akin Ka na Lang". On the other hand, Piolo had everyone feeling so in love when he did his own rendition of the songs "Be My Lady" popularized by Martin Nievera, "All I Ask" by British artist Adele, and "Starting Over Again" which is the theme song of his movie with Toni Gonzaga with the same title. Meantime, Ogie's hits surely transcend time after everyone in the audience sang along with him in performing his original hits like "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala", "Kung Mawawala Ka", and "Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang". Memorable Moments Seeing Ogie, Piolo, and Morissette perform live is memorable enough for everyone in the crowd, but the Kapamilya artists wanted to leave something that the event-goers will never forget. A song dedicated to the overseas Filipinos is what Morissette imparted to the audiences. Before she performed the song "Miss You Like Crazy", she told the overseas Filipinos: "Meron din po tayong naiwan doon sa Pilipinas. But because we are doing this for our families hindi po natin maiiwasan ma-miss natin sila, ma-homesick tayo. Kaya itong song na ito ay gusto ko i-dedicate sa bawat isa sa inyo." Meantime, the ladies in the audience felt extra special because aside from having Piolo serenade them in tune of "Be My Lady", some of them were lucky to receive red roses and have a selfie photo with Philippine's Ultimate Heartthrob. A rare moment is what Ogie shared with the crowd when he performed his original composition "Kailangan Kita" with Piolo, who is the original artist for the said hit single. The singer-songwriter even recalled saying, "magiging hit 'to!" upon hearing Piolo record the song for the first time. The show concluded with one rare moment: Ogie, Piolo, and Morissette perform their first collaboration which is a medley of '70s hits that had everyone on their feet. After the show, some members of the audience had a photo opportunity with Ogie, Piolo, and Morissette.
