The ACE Master of the American College of Endocrinology (MACE) is presented to an AACE member who has received Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE) distinction and is recognized as a distinguished endocrinologist; Dr. Mechanick is also Director of Metabolic Support in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Disease at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is responsible for training cardiology fellows at Mount Sinai in lifestyle medicine, nutrition and metabolic support. His research centers on the fields of nutrition and metabolic support, obesity and lifestyle medicine and network analysis of complex systems. Dr. Mechanick co-authored Diabetes Mellitus Pocket and Nutritional Medicine Pocket and co-edited publications including Nutritional Strategies for the Diabetic and Prediabetic Patient and Thyroid Cancer: From Emergent Biotechnology to Clinical Practice Guidelines. Dr. Mechanick served as President of ACE (2016-2017), President of AACE (2013-2014) and President of the American Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists (2005-2006). He received his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
