ARVA (also now as the Pike Traffic Light System) has be developed using state of the art, low powered radars which are designed to track the approach of vehicles within a targeted range and speed. Using radar to build a 'picture' of the surrounding area the system can increase detection reliability while reducing false detection rates as well as optimizing green signal timing.

ARVA can remove the requirement for manual Traffic light control which will decrease the inefficiency that can be inherent in more traditional traffic light systems. tbf Traffic are fully committed to reducing frustration felt by the public when experiencing poorly managed traffic lights and will deploy ARVA to make this irritation a thing of the past.
