"We are so fortunate for the opportunity to work with our benefactor Mike Levine and his vision for this trail and its promotion," exclaimed Wilson. "We can't wait for trail users across the state and nation to discover all the amenities, scenic landscapes and opportunities for outdoor recreation the Great Lake-to-Lake Trails Route #1 has to offer." Wilson praised the work of his team at Michigan Trails, including Assistant Director Amanda Hathaway Frattarelli, who was on hand at the Summit to help guide attendees through the website. Frattarelli explained the website is designed to entice new users to Route #1 and involve them in the trail. The website offers an interactive map complete with trailheads, lodging, food and beverage locations, points of interest and train stations. Users can learn about the 34 towns along the destination trail as it travels through nine counties across Southern Michigan. The site also recommends trip itineraries invites users to share their experiences. Users of https://www.greatlaketolaketrails.org are also encouraged to join in the Great Lake-to-Lake Trails Route #1 Inaugural Ride from September 13-18. Registration for the 6-day tour through forested pathways and charming towns from South Haven to Port Huron is now open on the new website.
