Nini: the new playful furniture for creative kids

ROME - May 6, 2019 - PRLog -- Nini is a project developed by Elena and Paola, mothers and professionals with a common vision that has driven them to design the furniture they wanted for their children and to create it for everyone. Based on the principles of Maria Montessori and the Reggio Emilia schools, they created Nini, a brand of furniture for children that allows them to be independent and frees their creative thinking in the home.
They developed four products under this brand Nini,
Ninnanì, bed bookshelf and much more!
This Montessori bed is low and without edges, so that the child can get in and out independently. The bed can be easily transformed into a bookcase for the first few years of school. The headboard of the bed Ninnanì can be used as a theatre to tell stories before bedtime. The see-through stories are 8 pictures printed on acetate sheet. They can overlap to create new picture for new stories to imagine. A design for children where the function of the object goes beyond furniture to help parents and children grow together, letting their imagination soar.

Pepetta, the smart little shoe closet.
The Nini shoe rack allows the child to choose and store shoes independently, and then sit comfortably to put them on. The strings on the back help practicing to complete seams and lacing.

Dindola, the rocking chair!
The typical Montessori chair with two different heights to adapt to different children's growth phases; in Nini's version it turns into a swing.

Tacatac,  coat hangers.
Nini's coat hangers are rocket-shaped. They are fixed to the wall with two screws.

Nini allows for independent exploration, experimentation, and unlimited creative thinking at home. The design allows the kids to interact directly with their space, changing it while becoming independent. The design is in fact kid-friendly, each piece of furniture is therefore transformable and can be used over time to follow the kids during different phase of their growth. Every Nini furniture is interlockable, easy to pack and to assemble by the entire family, for a house to build together.
The design is developed in order to be used in different functions and over time. The kids bed, for example, becomes a bookshelf to follow the kids during different phases of its growth. It is easy to store and to reassemble when needed.
