By: United Premier Soccer League Based in Miami (Fla.), Santos FC will begin play in the UPSL Women's Division Central Conference, and play its home games at Ives Estates Park (20901 NE 16th Ave., Miami, FL 33179) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards. United Premier Soccer League Florida Division Manager Christian Vallejos said, "We are proud to welcome Santos FC to the UPSL Women's Division Southeast Conference. This is a strong club with strong leadership, and they'll be a great addition to the league. We wish Santos FC the best as it prepares for its UPSL Women's Division debut this season." Jose Robson Manente is the Owner of Santos FC and Santos Academy Miami. A former professional player in Brazil, Manente is a prolific youth soccer trainer in South Florida. Carlos Quezada is the General Manager and Head Coach of Santos FC. A resident of Hollywood, Fla., Quezada played for Fort Lauderdale Strikers (USL), Harrisburg Heat (MASL), BFC Germania 1888 (Germany) and the U.S. Virgin Islands National Beach Soccer Team. He has served as Goalkeeper Coach for the Peru National Women's Team and the Honduran National Women's Team, including at Copa Libertadores Femenina 2017, and was Head Coach of the Colombian National Minifutbol (Futsal) Team in 2018. He also is an Assistant Coach at Hialeah (Fla.)'s Florida National University, helping the Conquistadores to the 2017 USCAA National Championship, and currently holds a USSF 'D' Coaching License. Santos FC General Manager Carlos Quezada said, "The UPSL is blowing up on the men's side and I feel like the women need more attention. It's harder to gain traction on the women's side for a number of reasons, but I always thought that the UPSL could something big on the women's side if the right people were involved, so that's why I got into it. I want the talented women that are playing the game to have the same opportunities and experiences." Moises Zamudio serves as the Assistant Coach and Director of Program. A native of Peru, Zamudio was a former professional player in Colombia, Peru and Chile in the 1990s, and now has a long history of coaching high-level women's teams. He led Maracana's Women's Team to the Peruvian First Division National Championship in 2014 before taking sixth at Copa Libertadores Femenina 2014 later that year. He also has the distinction of guiding Peru's National Girls Under-14 Team to its first Conmebol Sudamericano tournament in 2018, where the team placed third. He currently holds a FIFA 'A' Coaching License. The club soon its upcoming game schedule.
