Mobius Foundation - An NGO Working Towards Environment Sustainability

LAXMI NAGAR, India - May 22, 2019 - PRLog -- Mobius Foundation is a non-profit organization established with the goal of bringing environmental sustainability in India which is on track to become the most populous country in the world. The Mobius Foundation plans to achieve its aims through educating the population about how to achieve an eco-friendly environment and funding critical infrastructure that will reduce people's carbon footprint while also improving their health and quality of life.

Health is a very important issue that Mobius Foundation has spent a lot of resources and time addressing. Mobius Foundation has collaborated with DownToEarth and Marta Vanduzer Snow to help set up eco-toilets in rural villages in Uttar Pradesh. This is very important work as still 52.1 of the Indian population living in rural villages has to defecate in the open. Other health-related projects that the Mobius Foundation have been part of include setting up 48 Mobile Health Camps in rural areas of Sonepat and Panipat districts and also "Project Aakar" which is an initiative to educate people and promote the use of contraception and the idea of family planning and women looking after their reproductive health. The Mobius Foundation has also set up "Livinguard Filters" to provide sanitary water for people in remote villages.

With India's growing population and the limited deposits of oil, coal, and gas, the Mobius Foundation has invested in setting up much needed renewable energy sources. They have set up multiple hydro panels (also known as solar panels) in the Hapur area of Uttar Pradesh. The Mobius Foundation is the first Indian NGO to install hydro panels in rural areas of India.

Sanjeevani Phase II is the latest project of the Mobius Foundation, it was set up after the successful completion of Sanjeevani Phase I which saw the plantation of over 5000 tree saplings in the villages of Sonepat and Panipat in the district of Haryana. The aim of Phase II is to continue to raise awareness of environmental sustainability by raising it as an issue at events attended by guests from the government and environmental agencies in the Delhi area.

Future projects that the Mobius Foundation have announced they are working towards are the "Gyant Anant Vidyalaya" which will help make the chosen school become one that is a sustainable school with the students as well as the parents taught and emboldened to be part of the sustainable future of India. The second announced project is the "World Environment School - Coorg" which will aim to give students moral and environmental values that will help them become global citizens. And finally, the "International Conference on Sustainability Education 2019 – ICSE" will create a platform for both native and international figures to discuss and debate the addition of education of environmental sustainability and climate change as well as environmental education.

The Mobius Foundation is doing vital, necessary work that will benefit many generations to come, we live in a world where a lot of people are not educated and aware of the dangers that come with not caring for the environment and world we live in. By educating future generations, financing renewable energy and facilities to improve people's health the Mobius Foundation hopes to play a small part in making India and the rest of the world a better place.
