I²IT and TomTom India Work together on Geographic Information Systems Project

PUNE, India - May 23, 2019 - PRLog -- Hope Foundation's International Institute of Information Technology (I²IT) has inked a consultancy agreement with TomTom India Pvt Ltd. on 27^th March 2019. TomTom, with headquarters in Amsterdam and offices in 37 countries, is the leading independent location technology specialist, shaping mobility with highly accurate maps, navigation software, real-time traffic information and services. TomTom has extensive experience with leading business and technology partners, in smart mobility and autonomous driving. TomTom team visited I²IT campus previously and trained students in Geographic Information System (GIS) based validation project.

I²IT team has now been offered this consultancy project wherein 25 students are currently working on it. Ms. Seema Nayyar, Senior Manager Maps, from TomTom Pune and Dr V Rajesh Chowdhary, Head, Center of Excellence in Geoinformatics, of I²IT are leading this project.

On 14^th May 2019, Ms. Eszter Pattantyus, Senior Vice President, Maps – MCP (Maps Content Processing), Engineering and Operations along with other team members of TomTom visited I²IT campus and overviewed the progress of ongoing consultancy project. They interacted with Mrs. Aruna Katara, President of Hope Foundation & Research Centre (HFRC) and Dr Vaishali V Patil, Principal of I²IT and expressed their willingness to enhance the collaboration to next level. TomTom team also collected feedback from students who are currently associated with the project as well as listened to their experience of working on such cutting-edge technology.
