U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein Honors Laos, Hmong Vietnam Veterans at Arlington National Cemetery

The following is the statement issued by US Senator Dianne Feinstein (D - CA) at national veterans memorial ceremonies held in Washington, D.C. by the Lao Veterans of America, Lao Veterans of America Institute, and Center for Public Policy Analysis.
 
WASHINGTON - May 25, 2019 - PRLog -- The following is the statement issued and delivered by U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D - California) at national ceremonies held in Washington, D.C. by the Lao Veterans of America, Lao Veterans of America Institute,  Center for Public Policy Analysis, U.S. Special Forces Association, and National Association for Black Veterans, to honor Lao and Hmong-American veterans and their U.S. military and clandestine advisors who served during the Vietnam War in Laos. The veterans' memorial ceremonies were held at Arlington National Cemetery, the Vietnam War Memorial, and the U.S. Congress on May 14-15, 2019:

"My greetings to the Lao Veterans of America and the Lao Veterans of America Institute of Fresno, California, the Center for Public Policy Analysis, the National Association for Black Veterans, the U.S. Special Forces Association, Vietnam Veterans, Armed Services members, veterans, honored guests, ladies and gentleman," Senator Feinstein stated.

"It is my honor to commemorate the sacrifices of the Lao and Hmong veterans who valiantly supported the United States during the Vietnam War...

"As we gather again on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath on this memorial (the Laos Memorial – Lao Veterans of America Monument), we pay homage to the immeasurable contributions of the Lao and Hmong veterans to our cause. We honor them today not just by remembering their sacrifices, but by committing to always live out the freedoms for which they heroically gave their lives...

"As a United States Senator from the State of California, I recognize the profound debt of gratitude that we owe to these soldiers, as well as their families who fled to our shores. May their last full measure of devotion forever inspire those who take up the banner of freedom across the globe," U.S. Senator Feinstein concluded.
