By: ExcellenceinEducation.org.uk Leaders and dignitaries from every walk of life attended the occasion, They included: President of The Supreme Court - Lady Brenda Hale DBE, PC; Commonwealth's Secretary-general, Baroness Scotland QC, PC; Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, Sir Ken Olisa OBE, and Professor Imafidon, chair of ExcellenceinEducation.org.uk programme (world renowned as father of Britain's brainiest family). Dr Hoyle, formerly Dean of Bristol, now oversees the spiritual life of the Abbey and gives leadership to the Abbey community, which includes 300 staff and 500 volunteers. He succeeds the Very Reverend Dr John Hall During the centuries-old ceremony, part of it in Latin, the Grant and Mandamus from Her Majesty The Queen, to whom Dean and Chapter of the Abbey are ultimately responsible, was read out and the Dean responded by swearing and affirming a number of formal oaths. Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton played in key role in the formalities. The Dean of St Paul's, The Very Revd Dr David Ison and Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin QHC (Chaplain to the Queen) were among the clergy present.
