Royse Law Firm Expands Estate Planning Team

MENLO PARK, Calif. - June 20, 2019 - PRLog -- Royse Law Firm is excited to welcome attorneys Mary Nguyen and Alexis Maguina to its Estate, Trust, & Wealth Strategies team. Nguyen and Maguina will assist clients with both traditional and sophisticated plans for estate and gift taxes, pre-liquidity events, asset protection, philanthropy, and more. "Mary's expertise in estate planning and Alexis's strong background in tax law make them valuable additions to our team," said David Spence, head of the firm's Estate, Trust, & Wealth Strategies practice. Nguyen and Maguina will both practice in Royse Law Firm's Menlo Park office.

Mary Nguyen

Nguyen earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. During law school, she was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence for earning the highest grade in Estate Drafting. She also served as the Executive Development Editor and a staff editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, and was recognized by the Pro Bono Society for her volunteer work.

Prior to joining Royse Law Firm, Nguyen worked at the Delaware Court of Chancery, Probate Division of the Superior Court of California, and local law firms where she practiced estates and trusts law.

Alexis Maguina

Maguina received his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School in 2017 and was admitted to practice in California that same year. While attending law school, he not only served as an editor for the Journal of College and University Law, but was also a founding member of the Notre Dame Tax Clinic, where he represented taxpayers before the IRS and the US Tax Court. Maguina earned his B.A. in Economics and Public Policy & Law from Trinity College (CT) in 2013. Maguina is a former AmeriCorps member and served at Bread for the City's legal clinic in Washington, D.C. He is fluent in Spanish.

Prior to joining Royse Law Firm, Maguina worked at Ernst & Young's Tax Service Line helping Fortune 500 companies and high net-worth individuals plan for and resolve local, state, and international tax issues.
