GULFPORT, Miss. - June 28, 2019 - PRLog -- Paula and Harold Vega Vondenstein, of Bible Belt Blues, have received two Josie Music Award finalist nominations as Duo/Band and Entertainer of the Year for the genre of Gospel/ Christian/ Inspirational. Over 23,000 nominations were submitted across all genres from around the globe to compete in the upcoming 2019 Josie Music Awards which will be held on September 21, 2019 at the Dollywood Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Celebrating its fifth consecutive year, The Josie Music Awards is the most respected and prestigious red carpet award ceremony for Indie artists. All nominations are reviewed by a panel of professional judges and cannot be manipulated by popular vote. Bible Belt Blues is proud to be the only Gospel/Christian duo/band to represent the state of Mississippi at the 2019 Josie Music Awards. The Vondensteins are quick to give glory to God for the doors He has already opened up for their music ministry.

Bible Belt Blues' music is both fresh and original with its musical roots distinctly early Mississippi Bentonia blues with a bit of 70's retro mixed in for good measure. Known for their bold, biblically sound lyrics, Bible Belt Blues is setting the stage for a new wave of Christian music crafted to be an evangelical tool where the lyrics take center stage. Bible Belt Blues' very first album, "I'm Not Ashamed to Be a Christian," was released on Jan. 5, 2019 and their much anticipated second album, "My God, My God," was released on June 1, 2019. Bible Belt Blues has been taken into the Bill and Kat Radio family's Gospel Blues Hour Syndicated Program. Eight of Bible Belt Blues' songs have already received radio airplay with subsequent album/singles listings on the Roots Music Report.

Amazingly, the Vondensteins handle every facet of their music production themselves from lyric writing, composing, performing, mixing, mastering, producing, marketing, promoting, securing radio airplay, writing media, album cover design, and building their website /YouTube Channel. After months of non-stop production for their two albums, Bible Belt Blues is now shifting gears to schedule bookings for events while remaining confident of securing that coveted Josie Music Award on Sept. 21, 2019.

Bible Belt Blues' albums are available for streaming on Spotify or digital download purchase at CD Baby Store, iTunes, and Apple Music. Physical CDs will be available for purchase at special events. The Vondensteins make Gulfport their home with their three Chihuahuas: Coco, Cody and Casey.
