LONG BEACH, Calif. - Aug. 14, 2019 - PRLog -- French NeoClassical Town House owned by Les Wexner and Jeffrey Epstein renovated by Onestoneworld with French Limestone.

The French neoclassical townhouse at 9 East 71st Street is one of the most fashionable blocks on the Upper East Side. Bookended to the west by the Frick Collection on Fifth Avenue and the 1810 St. James' Church just across Madison Avenue in the east.

Fifty feet wide and seven stories tall, the house was designed by Horace Trumbauer, a fashionable residential architect, for Herbert N. In 1989, Les Wexner purchased the Herbert N. Straus House on 9 East 71st Street in the Upper Side of Manhattan in New York City and renovated it completely with Onestoneworld providing all cut to size French limestone for exterior facade as well as interiors.

Jeffrey Epstein took full possession of the mansion in 1998 when he paid Wexner. The mansion is reputedly the largest private residence in Manhattan at 21,000 sq ft (2,000 m2).

Hidden under a flight of stairs, there is a lead-lined bathroom fitted with its own closed-circuit television screens and a telephone, both concealed in a cabinet under the sink. It also has its own heated sidewalk to melt away the snow. The entrance hall is lined with rows of individually framed prosthetic eyeballs which were made for injured English soldiers.
