The Central Park Five -A Study of Images by Don Perlis

NEW YORK - Aug. 31, 2019 - PRLog -- Don Perlis brilliantly documented how many New Yorkers viewed the teens in the Central Park Five case in the 1980's. He will appear on Corinne's Picks, a talk show on public access television that explores the art and careers of remarkable artists. The episode will air in Brooklyn (BRIC)on September 2ndand 16that 11am and 9pm on Verizon ch. 47, Spectrum ch. 1993 and Verizon ch. 951.  It will air in the Bronx (Bronxnet) on October 17that 8pm on Fios ch.36 and Optimum ch.70. It will also air in Manhattan (MNN) on October 21stat 5:30pm on Fios ch. 34, RCN ch. 83 and spectrum ch. 56 and ch.1996.

Ava Duverney, Oprah Winfrey and Ken Burns recently spotlighted this episode in New York City history on film. This story as envisioned in fine art paintings by Don Perlis offers the public another way of revisiting the incident. Don Perlis's paintings have appeared in The New York Times, Art in America, Art Forum, and Art News. He is represented by Denise Bibro Fine Art. His work has been exhibited in the Whitney Museum, Queens Museum of Art and the National Museum in Poland.

Don Perlis is a master of European renaissance painting traditions.
